And they said, "let them eat cake." Ha, just kidding! Well, maybe they did, but anyway, back to today's post!
It's no secret that I absolutely love the girly style. Walk into a store, find a cute pink top with unique cuts and/or styles, then you've got me at the counter buying that sucker.

What I really love about this look is how simple it is, but how it still stays true to my style and what I love most when looking for outfit inspiration. When you think about it, pink and purple together in an outfit is like a 5 year old outfit gone wrong, but it's all about finding the right tones that go together, and also how you add the accessories. Since you're clashing two strong colours together, opt for the most basic neutrals - your blacks, whites and browns.

I tucked in my purple scallop-edge top with pink shorts with bows on the side. Make sure you grab a few stylish pieces of jewellry because accessorizing is really important when trying out a colourful look and also when colour blocking. Adding a pair of black flatforms to compliment the look, and matching my bag to my shoes perfectly finishes the look.

Until my next post -

If you know me well enough, you'd know that I completely adore Blair Waldorf. Not only that though, you'd know that I love Leighton Meester almost as much as I love Miss Blair Waldorf. Whilst Leighton Meester channeled this boho chic look, I took the time to re-create it!

In this post of Celebrity Dress-Ups, Leighton wears a loose teal button-up blouse over her burgundy jeans, paired with a long bead necklace and some strappy heels.

She's applied her makeup in a natural look, and kept it very minimal. Her hair falls onto her shoulders in soft waves.

So in this outfit, I paired my orange jeans with a similar top I got from Valleygirl. Instead of pairing it with a long beaded necklace, I decided to pair the outfit with a long necklace with multiple pendants. Lucky for me, I have a pair of heels really similar to the ones Leighton has on. It made the outfit become more true to Leighton's.

As for my makeup, I kept it as neutral as possible, and added a pop of a pretty pink lip.
Although it's tucked away, used a curling wand to create soft waves, quite swimilar to Leighton's.

So there you have it. A re-created look of Leighton's look, with easy and affordable items!

Lots of love,

There's nothing I admire more than simple outfits. They're so easy to work with, and there's not a lot of effort needed to be put in, just the confidence to rock it!

With this look, I've paired a simple top and skirt combo with a pair of leopard print flats. I love the girly vibe the scrunch of the sleeves of the top gives, and I am obsessed with the shade of pink.
Along with this long is a replica of the Alexa Mulberry bag but in a smaller version. Purchased from Cotton On, it's the perfect addition to the outfit for a casual everyday look.
As for jewellry, I just added a small and quaint silver heart necklace, and my gold Michael Kors watch, just to jazz it up a little bit.

I'm hosting a giveaway for my blog soon.
Just wondering what you guys would want to be in it?
Sound off in the comments, please!

Nothing feels better than that cool Summer breeze. Wearing a top that flows with the wind, and dancing in the sun feels incredible for the soul. Letting the sun bounce off your cheeks as you walk the streets to hit your destination feels amazing in a cool Summer breeze.

I've always been a lover of tops that flow as it sits on your top half. It just feels like freedom, especially in the warmer seasons. There's nothing I hate more than tops that stick to your skin during the Summertime.

For this look, I've styled this basic black Mink Pink thin strap flowy top with a pair of pink suede high-waist shorts to give the look a natural pop of colour. Matching a pair of trendy leopard print flats to break up the colours and add a sense of print to the look. Personally, I love leopard print in shoes. Not so much in clothes, as I find it a little tacky for my liking, but in shoes, I think it becomes completely easy for anyone to pull off.

Add simple jewels and you're done!

Will be hosting a giveaway very very soon!
Stay tuned x

Lots of love,

Another year, another outfit.
As everyone celebrated by ringing in the new year, I for one immediately began thinking about new plans for my blog. Yes, I'm one of those girls. This year, I promise to post more and exciting content, and to devote as much free time as I have to bettering my blogging and writing frequency and quality.

Considering I'm a huge lover of Winter, I thought I would bring Winter into my Summer wardrobe.
Yes, I've officially cheated Summer because these knit high-waist shorts are heaven-sent.
Whilst everyone is channeling neon brights, I'm over here wearing my Winter blues and feeling mighty fine about it.

Paired these cute shorts with a simple white tee, minimal jewels and adorable kitty flats.

As an aspiring writer, I should be made aware of what I want to write with these outfit posts, but half the time, I honestly don't know what to say.. So if anyone has any tips of advice, that would be great. Even if you just comment what you would like me to write about whilst viewing my outfit posts, that would be great?!

Until my next post,
Lots of love,
Danica xo
